About the Responsible Minerals Alliance

The Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) is the world's largest industry coalition dedicated to corporate social responsibility in global supply chains. RBA members commit and are held accountable to a common Code of Conduct and utilize a range of RBA training and assessment tools to support continual improvement in the social, environmental and ethical responsibility of their supply chains. Today, the RBA is comprised of more than 150 companies. The RBA has created a variety of tools, programs and services to assist companies in incorporating the OECD DDG, as well as other international recommendations on responsible business conduct, into their operations and supply chains.

Responsible Business Alliance's Practical Guide

The RBA's Practical Guide to Implementing Responsible Business Conduct Due Diligence in Supply Chains provides an overview of the major standards on responsible business conduct and demonstrates how RBA tools, best practices, initiatives and services can help companies operationalize and live up to international supply chain due diligence expectations. It is a comprehensive document which links to other RBA resources, most of which are provided for paying members of the RBA, though some are available for free online and are listed here. The RBA Practical Guide is focused on supply chain due diligence in general, and not specifically on minerals or on conflict and human rights issues. The guide will be periodically updated to reflect the evolving responsible business, stakeholder feedback, emerging best practices, new legislative requirements, and revised RBA tools and programs.
