Call for proposals for responsible minerals projects

Call for proposals for responsible minerals projects

Do you have a project idea aimed at improving conditions for miners and their local communities? The European Partnership for Responsible Minerals (EPRM) is looking to fund projects designed for increasing responsible mining practices in conflict-affected and high-risk areas.

The EPRM’s objective is to improve the social and economic conditions in which miners and their local communities must live and work, by increasing the number of mines and artisanal miners whose mining practices are responsible. This will increase the number of responsible minerals in supply chains and is expected to weaken the link between minerals extraction and conflict

The EPRM will fund and support activities within the scope of its mandate. The activities must be aimed at improving socio-economic conditions for miners and local communities. For example, by achieving acceptable working conditions, promoting fair remuneration, tackling child labour issues, avoiding human rights violations and promoting gender balance.

The first round of the call for proposals is now open for applications. Please find more information on the EPRM and the call for proposals on the EPRM website.
